காப்பீட்டு நிறுவனங்களில் காப்புறுதி கட்டணம் செலுத்திய பாலிசிதாரர்களின் உரிமைகளைப் பாதுகாக்கவும், காப்பீட்டு தொழில் நிறுவனங்களுக்குத் தொழில் தொடங்கும் உரிமைகள் வழங்கவும், கண்காணிக்கவும் ஐஆர்டிஏ செயல்படுகிறது.

காப்பீடு மேம்பாட்டு மற்றும் வளர்ச்சி முகமை, பத்து உறுப்பினர்கள் கொண்ட தலைமை அமைப்பாகும்.[8]

அனைத்து உறுப்பினர்களும் இந்திய நடுவண் அரசால் நியமிக்கப்படுகின்றனர். [8]
